Students arriving on the check-in day/s into the airport of Milan Malpensa (MPX) will be met by a SAI representative, and will receive the complimentary SAI shuttle service to their apartments between 9:00am and 4:00pm. Students will be sent information prior to departure regarding the SAI shuttle service.

While each student is responsible for his or her own travel arrangements, Study Abroad Italy has made arrangements with Waldorf Travel to offer Milan students the lowest available student-priced airline tickets. We encourage students to book their flights WELL IN ADVANCE (at least 90 days prior to departure) and to make sure to notify the travel agent that they are a Study Abroad Italy student attending school in Milan. Please note that the number of student-priced tickets is limited. Contact Waldorf Travel as soon as possible to make arrangements.

At the airport, the SAI representative will provide students with:
1) apartment keys (should students be renting through SAI)
2) student cell phone
3) SAI welcome packet, student handbook, and orientation schedule

We suggest that students arrive in Italy with €200.00 to pay for taxis, trains, food and other immediate needs. Students must submit their arrival information to inform the Program Coordinator in Milan of of their date and time of arrival (instructions will be sent out upon acceptance into the program).
