Master in Interior and Living Design
The Domus Academy Master program (13 month program) will encourage students to adopt a problem-solving attitude and to develop their own poetical language by exploring, experiencing and constantly questioning the meaning of their own work.

Program Philosophy: This program is dedicated to innovation in “living design” and aims to create a new kind of design professional: a designer of spaces and services who can combine technical know-how with a solid cultural background and who is capable of lookingbeyond the present moment and ahead to the future of design. The program aims to break boundaries between different art forms and disciplines in order to form a designer who is able to think “outside the box” and to creatively execute projects and solve problems.

Program Structure: The first months of the program consist of a theoretical component dedicated to design language, strategy, and research, and a practical component dedicated to workshops and visits to design studios. Students will learn the fundamentals of lighting design, theatrical design, and virtual space design, as well as the aesthetics and theory of contemporary art.  They will also attend seminars on design strategy and design management and marketing, as well as on how to put together a professional portfolio. The theory will then materialize as students apply what they learn to their thesis projects, which will be approached as would a professional design competition and overseen by experts in the field of interior design.
