Master in Car Design and Mobility
The Domus Academy Master program (11 month program) explores a wide range of Car Design innovative ideas, investigates the problems related to mobility - traffic, pollution, safety - and analyzes how new means of transportation can play an essential role in this evolutionary scenario.
Program Philosophy: Domus Academy sees the design of methods of transportation as the key to creating a better, more sustainable relationship between “mobility” and “territory,” that is, between forms of transportation and the surrounding natural environment. As they pursue their studies, students are encouraged to keep in mind the interaction between individuals and the world around them.
Program Structure: The master in Car Design and Mobility is based on the principle of “learning by designing.” Lectures will therefore be accompanied by various workshops. The program begins with introductory lessons dedicated to design culture. Then, students attend seminars in which the key elements of transportation design are discussed. Students subsequently begin to formulate ideas for their theses, and the last months of the program are dedicated entirely to the final thesis. During this phase, the practical nature of the program becomes crucial: in order to clarify and expand their ideas, students spend time at transportation design companies and thus have the opportunity to learn directly from professionals in the field. |
